Random Statements Heard in the Nielsen home on Christmas Day

"Another Ableskeiver, anyone?"

"I have a tummy ache and I'm full" (This was at 10am after she had eaten a full bag of Jelly Bellies and 3 candy canes unnoticed.)

"Why do you have to take pictures of everything?" (Josiah doesn't like his picture taken.)

Christmas Family Self-Portraits

When the Ice Melts

I thought this looked cool when the sun came out and the ice started to melt. The branches look like plastic.

Ice Storm in MO

The ice started last Thursday and it hasn't quit yet. There have been breaks but a snowstorm has been forecast for this weekend. Our girls say they like MN winters better. The snow is prettier and more fun to play in than ice.

How Would You Define the "Fasted Lifestyle?"

We're going into a 7 day fast and we had a family meeting to talk about what we are going to fast as a family. Some of our kids brought up some very interesting comments on what the fasted lifestyle is.
