I Am Thankful For....

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it's time to take a moment and think about all the things we're grateful for. Several years ago John did a study with the kids on family nights about the 7 ways to worship God. (No, it's not just an old Carmen song.) Here are just 2 of those Hebrew words and their meanings.

YADAH - - Hebrew Verb
MEANING: To throw; to give thanks, laud or praise; to confess something about God; to confess one's own sin.

TOWDAH - - Hebrew Noun
MEANING: Confession, praise, thanksgiving; giving of praise to God; thanksgiving in songs of worship; thanks choir or procession; thank-offering, sacrifice of thanksgiving; confession

Take a moment and think about the things you are thankful for. Big things and little things. I am thankful for.....

  • modern day plumbing.
  • cars that work.
  • friends who stick with you, no matter what.
  • coffee
  • a God who's love for me is so strong that I can not escape it or hide from it.

Now it's your turn. What are you thankful for?

I'm so thankful for God's Kingdom - His righteousness, peace, and JOY! Wow! God is incredible! Thankful for awesome folks near and far who call us family & friends. Thankful for all God has given us to steward and the grace to do just that. Thankful for hunting season, 'fresh meat,' and those hard working guys who love the pursuit. Thankful for God's constant love and presence - Spirit, you are the BEST! You too, Jesus...And you Daddy - love ever-increasing! Woo Hoo!
