Embarrassing Moment
I just have to share this embarrassing moment. Last night Zach, our 16 yr old, and I volunteered to run cameras during the EGS service. Zach was in the booth running the remote camera that's on the stage. (Looks like a fun job if you like to people watch.) During the warm-up for the second teaching the worship was really good so I was humming along to myself-so I thought. There was a lot of energy on the worship. I was going in for a zoom on the stage with Mike at the podium and Mike goes into that big smiling thing he like to do so I started laughing. Which is when I discovered I was on the headset mics so everybody on camera and in the Master Control Room could hear me, this then caused me to stop my live moving shot of Mike to turn my mic off causing the director to switch off that horrible shot quickly. (Sorry Angel) After the service Zach was telling me about his experience and how much fun he had in the MCR, then he starts laughing about this women singing on the headset mic and how everyone was laughing. He thought it was the other woman camera operator (but she's way too cool to do anything that stupid). He had a real good laugh when I told him it was me! They will probably never let me on a camera again (or just take my mic away). This was funny and humbling to me because last year I was the Director of a large theatre production our church was doing and we had 8 stage crew, camera operators, lighting director, and sound people on headsets and I was furious whenever anybody left their mic on because they weren't paying attention. Ha! It was payback for me!

That's not too bad. I ate mexican before EGS and had #2 camera. I kept belching, which was followed by "ewww!"
