The Daniel Academy

Once again, our lives have taken on another change. Our kids started school at http://thedanielacademy.com/ . This is a homeschool academy started by IHOPers for the families of IHOPers. The entire thing is amazing and God's hand is all over it. The idea for the school sprang up from a conversation between 2 IHOP couples in leadership last February and now, just several months later, we have a building, 44 teachers, and 170 students. Many who just moved here this summer because of this school. The focus is not only academics but there is a heavy emphasis on the Word and they spend time in the prayer room. The children go 2 full days and then 2 mornings, there is a lot of homework because it's not a fulltime school. It's like a high bred homeschool coop. There is parental involvement, which means I have pulled way back on my media responsibilities and I teach at The Daniel Academy. I teach High School Public Speaking (which I love-we'll incorporate a little drama in there somewhere) and 1st grade Math and Language Arts. This picture is from the first day assembly, we are being led in prayer by Lou Engle, whose children are in the school. I'm excited to see what the Lord does in the hearts of all these children this year. We are thrilled to be a part of it.

Praise God you have a wonderful school for the children!

I just stumbled across your site(with a little help from a link on Brian & Kelly Jo's Blog)...I am notorious for deleting e-mails with important info on them...thus when we moved from MN I no longer had your blog site.

It has taken me a while to catch up on what God has been doing in your lives, but....He is amazing!
