The Things Kids Say

Today Sophie was playing and singing to herself a familiar song to us here at IHOP. It's called Above Every Other Name by Justin Rizzo. Part of the lyrics are...."No one whose hope is in the Lord will ever be put to shame, You are the Rock that is higher than I" , she was singing over and over again...."No one whose hope is in the Lord will ever be put to shame, you are the rocket that's higher than I". The other kids were trying to correct her but she insisted that a rocket is higher than us. OK. Somethings are not worth arguing about.

I was googling this song to try and find a video of it for my 6 year-old daughter when I saw you blog...just this morning, she told me she REEEEALLY had to use the restroom in the middle of worship service...when we got to the ladies' room, she confessed: "Okay, Mom, I really don't have to potty, but I have to ask you something serious...WHY in the world are they singing GOD'S GREAT SQUARE PANTS (God transcendent), THERE'S NO ONE LIKE YOU....? We are not allowed to watch Sponge Bob--he is sassy! Why does God have great sqaure pants?"
